Among the activities supported by the Rotary Club of Kokomo are:
Projects:
  • KOKOMO ROTARY FOR HUMANITY had two parts:
    • SERVING the evening meal at the Kokomo Rescue Mission on the first Sunday of every month starting in August.
    • RAISING the match for a Rotary Foundation grant helping eliminate hunger by processing some 48 hogs into 7,000 pounds of meat providing protein for 28,000 meals at the Kokomo Rescue Mission.
  • Fruit for the Hungry helped fund the purchase of fresh fruit for under privileged children participating in the Kokomo Urban Outreach program and for families living at the Kokomo Rescue Mission Open Arms shelter. Members helped prepare and serve the fruit at Kokomo Urban Outreach Sunday meals served between November, 2014 and June, 2015. Local Rotary Club funds and a grant from the First Bank of Berne, tripled through a program at Meijer, Inc. made the project possible.
  • Thai Safe Water Project supporting providing two villages in Thailand equipment for purifying drinking water as part of the ongoing “Northeast Thailand Safe Water Project” sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Knoxville, USA and of Namphong, Thailand;
  • Geared for Hunger helped fund and members helped serve 12 Sunday meals for under privileged children participating in the Kokomo Urban Outreach program.  The meals were served between September, 2012 and June, 2013.  The meals included a Thanksgiving Dinner and a Christmas Dinner. The project was funded locally and with a grant from Rotary International District 6560 matching grant.
  • Kokomo Rotary Smiles provides dental kits (toothbrushes and toothpaste) to area residents and supports providing them dentures.
  • Kokomo Rotary Centennial Bridge on the City of Kokomo “Walk of Excellence” was built with funds raised by the club, the City of Kokomo and a grant from the U. S. Federal Highway Administration administered by the Indiana Department of Transportation.
  • Grissom Air Museum Project helped fund preservation of military aircraft at the museum.

For Howard County high school students:
  • Dyer Scholarship Fund; and
  • Hod Peabody Scholarship Fund.
For graduates of Howard County High School currently pursuing education in select medical fields: 
  • Dr. Charles J. Adams and Lovie Adams Rotary Memorial Scholarship Fund.
